Overview:

 

A179 seamless tube is a type of low-carbon steel tube primarily used in heat exchangers, condensers, and similar heat transfer applications, it has high thermal conductivity, allowing efficient heat transfer between fluids in heat exchangers and condensers. The tubes have a smooth internal surface, which reduces flow resistance and enhances overall heat transfer efficiency.

 

The low carbon content makes A179 tubes resistant to embrittlement and ensures good formability during fabrication, despite being made of low-carbon steel, A179 tubes exhibit good strength and toughness. It is commonly used in applications involving low to medium temperatures, typically up to around 400°C (750°F).
